The façade of the Chinese Financial Centre office towers utilize thick vertical lines making the Chinese Financial Centre feel even taller than its actual height of 175 meters. Lines of Red granite run vertically along the exterior alongside the double layered low-glass allowing the Chinese Financial Centre to stand out among the various other buildings in the area mostly utilizing plate glass exteriors.

The Chinese Financial Centre residential towers have a rectangular design and glass exterior that differentiates it from the high-finance and business oriented design of the office towers.

The top of the residential towers are quite interesting in that they appear to be platforms floating or hovering above the rest of the tower which, combined with the large windows, make the residents feel as if they are on a platform looking out over the cityscape.
